A printer paper jam occurs when paper becomes stuck somewhere along the printer’s paper path. It can happen because of damaged or damp paper, incorrect loading, misaligned sheets, or worn feed rollers. Turn off the printer if required by the manufacturer and carefully remove the jammed paper without tearing it.
