Testing Archive Extraction Resilience (10 views)

28 Apr 2026 07:06

Hi everyone,

I am currently developing a small utility tool for my team that automatically unzips large archives containing sensitive project data. I want to make sure that the program doesn't hang or delete files if it encounters a broken header or a missing part of a multi-volume archive.

It is better to find these bugs now rather than during a critical project deadline next month. Does anyone have a collection or a method to create corrupt compressed files for extraction testing?

I really need to verify my software’s internal logic.

Thanks in advance.
