Is it worth getting a transmission oil cooler for my S4 in this climate? (23 อ่าน)

So I've been doing quite a bit of research on this and I'm curious to hear what other Audi owners in the region think about aftermarket transmission coolers. I drive a 2017 S4 with the ZF 8-speed and I've noticed that on really hot days here in the UAE, especially during summer when temperatures are pushing 50 degrees, the transmission seems to get noticeably sluggish and the shifts feel a bit less crisp than when the weather is cooler. I've checked the transmission temperature through my OBDeleven and it's getting up to around 110 degrees Celsius in heavy traffic, which from what I've read is getting towards the higher end of the safe range. I've seen a few people online who've installed aftermarket coolers on their Audis and they claim it makes a massive difference to transmission performance and longevity, especially in hot climates, but I'm not sure if it's actually necessary or if I'm just being paranoid about something that's perfectly normal. The car is still under warranty for another year and I'm worried that modifying the cooling system might void it, which would be a pretty stupid move if something else goes wrong. I stumbled across http://auditransmissionrepair.ae/ while looking for information and they seem to have a lot of technical resources about transmission care, which got me thinking about whether I should be doing more to protect the gearbox from the heat. I'm hoping to keep this car for a long time so I want to do whatever I can to extend the life of the transmission, but I also don't want to throw money at solutions that aren't actually needed. Has anyone here installed an aftermarket cooler on their Audi and noticed a real difference, or is the factory cooling system already sufficient for our conditions? Would love to hear from people who've actually done it rather than just theoretical advice.
