College Football 27 New Accessories: What Uniform Gear Are We Still Missing? (16 อ่าน)

30 มิ.ย. 2569 13:29

With the launch of EA Sports College Football 27 right around the corner on July 9, 2026, the hype across the community is hitting an all-time high. For those of us who spend hours in the player edit menus perfecting the look of our roster builds, this year’s release feels like a massive win. EA has finally checked off several heavy community requests that fans have been screaming for. The addition of hanging mouthpieces, single leg sleeves, reflective visors, team logos on towels, and waist-mounted play sheets has drastically elevated the in-game "drip" to a whole new level of Saturday authenticity.

It is clear the developers listened, and the visual upgrades look incredibly sleek. However, as any die-hard college football fan knows, the pursuit of absolute realism never stops. Despite these long-awaited and highly praised upgrades, the community is already highlighting a few missing uniformaccessories needed for true game-day perfection. If we want our players looking exactly like they do on real-life networks, there is still some work left to do.

What We Are Still Missing

Team-Branded Hand Warmers: Central to game-day realism, while towels finally feature school logos this year, hand warmers remain frustratingly generic. When the weather drops in November, players want to see team-specific logos or major manufacturer branding (like the Nike Swoosh or Jordan Jumpman) on them, rather than a plain, unbranded block.

Team-Branded Wrist Braces: Much like the hand warmers, the newly added wrist braces are a great structural addition but feel incomplete. They are completely plain and lack the school branding or official manufacturer stamps seen on every major athlete in real life.

More Flack Jacket Customization: While the overall flack jacket mesh looks much sleeker and fits tighter to the player models this year, our customization options are still pretty limited. Players still cannot choose different styles, custom cuts, or those visible peeking designs that sit just under the jersey mesh.

Deep "Team Color" (TC) Customization: This is a big one for creators. The community is still pushing for separate TC1, TC2, and TC3 color-mapping options for individual gear items like cleats and gloves. Right now, too many items revert to a generic black or white instead of letting us fully control the school's secondary and tertiary accent colors.

True Loosely-Fitted/Baggy Undershirts: We received excellent, updated tight compression shirts this cycle, which look great. However, the option for baggy, loose-fitting undershirts hanging well beneath the pads—a staple look for plenty of skill-position players—is still completely absent.

Multiple Arm Bands: The layer limitations are still holding us back slightly. You are still restricted when it comes to stacking multiple distinct rubber bands, localized tape, or fabric wristbands on a single arm.

Shoulder/Bicep Braces: Highly prominent defensive linemen and linebackers frequently wear heavy neoprene stabilization braces on Saturdays to protect old injuries. Unfortunately, these heavy-duty braces are still missing from the elbow and shoulder equipment slots.

New Gear Already Confirmed for CFB 27

Even with our wish list for future updates, we shouldn't overlook just how much ground EA covered this year. To recap what did make the cut for College Football 27, your custom rosters and Road to Glory recruits will have access to an incredible array of new options right out of the box:

Category Newly Added Items in CFB 27

Helmets & Face Hanging mouthguards, reflective clear visors, and adjusted realistic helmet tilts.

Jerseys & Pads Smaller, shrunken modern shoulder pads and a brand-new mid-rise rolled jersey style.

Arms & Hands Custom-colored undershirts, open or closed QB wrist coaches, and dedicated wrist braces.

Waist & Legs Waist-mounted play sheets, single leg sleeves, and school-logo towels.

Team Branding Specialized iconic backplates (such as Notre Dame's famous "Play Like a Champion Today" mantra).

Ultimately, College Football 27 is taking a massive leap forward in the player department. The developers have proven they care about the culture and look of modern college football. While we will keep pushing for deeper color mapping and brand logos on smaller accessories in future patches or next year's game, the drip available on day one is going to make team building more fun than it has been in a very long time.
